Hi there!
I'm Zachary Draper, a software engineering leader based in Reno, Nevada. I lead a distributed engineering team at Booz Allen Hamilton, building and modernizing secure, mission-critical applications for the Department of Defense. Over the past twenty years, I've designed and shipped software across startups, government contracting, and high-growth companies—from co-founding Talage, the first online workers' compensation insurance marketplace that later achieved a successful acquisition, to running Zadra Design, a freelance web consultancy that successfully delivered more than fifty client projects.
Today my work focuses on system architecture, microservices modernization, secure coding practices, and applied AI—including LLM-powered product features and agentic systems. I hold a Master's in Information Assurance, am a CISSP, and continue supporting the national entrepreneurial community through 1 Million Cups, training organizers on the program's core and culture.
Within this website you'll find more about my background, the ventures and programs I've been part of, and ways to get in touch if you'd like to connect.
